Baby It’s Cold Outside

How to Hide Nipples Without a Bra

It’s not always possible to wear a bra, but it is always possible to hide your nipples without one. Many strapless or halter-top dresses and shirts are not to be worn with a bra, but that doesn’t mean everyone needs to know when you’re cold! Many women are uncomfortable with the added attention that comes when nipples are visible through their tops, but there are some easy ways to remedy the situation.

Instructions

Things You’ll Need:

  • Mirror
  • Sweater or shawl (optional)
  • Pasties, tape or bandage
  1. Look at yourself in a mirror. While wearing the clothes that you’re trying to hide in, check for yourself to make sure your nipples aren’t already concealed. Many dresses and tops, especially those made of heavier materials, are already thick enough to cover everything.
  2. Get yourself a pastie. If the chance exists that you might be a little too perky, find something that will stick on to your breast and cover your nipple. Many department and lingerie stores sell pasties. The best of them are shaped like a flower, so the space between the petals can be adapted to your personal contours. You may also be able to find pasties in a range of skin tones. Matching your skin tone as closely as possible assures that the pasties won’t be obvious under white or sheer material.
  3. Cover the nipple with your chosen pastie. Make sure the area is clean, dry and free of hairs. Once the nipple is covered, make sure the pastie is securely fastened without any unwanted bulges showing.
  4. Get dressed wearing your pasties. Again, you’ll want to steal a peek in the mirror to make sure everything is hidden and nothing is exposed. Once you’re satisfied that nothing will be popping up, you should be all set to go.
  5. Stay warm. It’s a fact of life that women’s nipples become erect when the temperature drops. To avoid any embarrassing flare-ups, try to keep yourself from getting the chills. A sweater or shawl could come in handy, both to keep you warm and to keep everything under wraps if things start to get uppity.

Tips & Warnings

  • Depending on your budget, you can either buy nipple pasties, which may be on the expensive side, or substitute common household items instead. Other things that will hide a nipple without a bra are tape, bandages or even stickers.
  • Though most nipple pasties are advertised as worry-free, many women do have concerns about one aspect: removing them. Whether you’re using a pastie, tape or bandage, pulling them off may be painful, especially if they catch any hairs. To avoid unnecessary stress, make sure the entire area is free of any unwanted hairs.
