It can be difficult deciding what face shape you have. its always good to know what your face shape is to determine hairstyles, clothes, makeup, earrings, etc.  Follow these steps to see what face shape you have to get you started in the right path.

 

Instructions:

First we need to do some measurements with a tape measure: measure from your hairline to your chin, across the widest part of your forehead, across the widest part of your cheekbones and across the widest part of your jaw line.

  • oval face:  if you have an oval face, the length is 1.5 times the width of your face. your forehead is wider than your chin and narrows to an oval chin.
  • round face:  if your face length and width across your cheekbones are close to being equal, then you have a round face. you are widest at the cheeks. this face shape tends to age well.
  • square face:  jaw line, cheekbones and forehead equal the same measurement. you have a square jaw line.
  • heart-shaped face:  wide at the forehead and cheekbones with a delicate, small chin narrowing at jaw line.
  • long face:  length of the face measures more than 1.5 times the width
  • triangle face:  wide forehead that narrows to a pointed or round chin. reverse of the heart-shaped.
